Sherrone Banfield Moore is an American college football coach and former player best known for his work with the University of Michigan one of the most iconic programs in college football. Over the years, Moore climbed the coaching ladder from graduate assistant to head coach, making history along the way. Born on February 3, 1986, in Derby, Kansas, Moore grew up with a passion for football.   • Served as acting head coach during the Wolverines’ undefeated national championship season in 2023.

  • Finished the 2025 season with a 9–3 record and a Citrus Bowl berth.

Shortly after his dismissal, Moore was detained by police in connection with an alleged assault case, further complicating his professional future.
